Dr. Christina Hewes grew up in the Bay Area, received her undergraduate degree from Boston College, and received her veterinary degree from UC Davis. After veterinary school, she pursued equine practice and completed an equine surgery residency in northern Virginia at Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center and an equine emergency and critical care fellowship at Auburn University in Alabama.
After 10 years of equine practice and exposure to small animal critical care at Auburn University, Dr. Hewes decided to pursue her interest in critical care and emergency surgery by switching to small animal practice where more options and treatments are available. By joining Four Seasons Animal Hospital, she is excited to further her transition into small animal emergency practice. Her professional interests include gastrointestinal disease, abdominal injuries, trauma, and critical care monitoring.
In her free time, Christina enjoys riding horses, hiking, running, swimming, baking, and spending time her cat. She is also enjoying being back in the Bay Area to spend time with friends and family after living in different parts of the country for many years.
