Dr. Liz Milauskas grew up in California with a passion for the outdoors and a love for animals. In 1994 she completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and went on to obtain her veterinary medical degree at the University College in Dublin, Ireland. After graduation, she practiced for eight years in Oregon before returning to her beloved California.
With an ongoing desire to learn and acquire new skills, Dr. Milauskas has continued to seek advanced training during her career. Her interest in integrating alternative veterinary therapies with traditional veterinary medicine led her to the advanced training course in veterinary acupuncture at Colorado State University in 2008. She is now a certified veterinary acupuncturist. She is also trained and certified in PennHIP, a multi-faceted radiographic procedure that evaluates the quality of the canine hip by quantifying the laxity of the joint in dogs.
Dr. Milauskas is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association, the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
On her days off she enjoys running, hiking around the Bay Area, traveling, and spending time with her husband, their two Labradors, Kiely and Lily, and their French Bulldog, Max.
