Dr. Dana Schaffer graduated with a BA in Journalism and Political Science from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 1993. After working in public relations, she decided to make a career change in 1996. She has been part of this professional family ever since. Dr. Schaffer strives to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets and hamsters. As a veterinarian, she believes she is very fortunate to be in a position that supports and fosters quality of life and longevity and that gives her the opportunity to relieve the pain and discomfort of the animals in her care.

Dana lives with two feline muses, Buffy and Bonnie, and a charming rabbit named Tony. Her favorite moments were the births of her niece and nephew. Her car's name is Gussie. She likes being organized. She enjoys funk & Latin music, crossword puzzles, York peppermint patties, and any endeavor that makes her laugh.
