Dr. Jennifer Simpson |
|
Dr. Jennifer Simpson was born and raised in South Africa, and moved to the Bay Area in 1995 to start her college education. She attended UC Berkeley initially, then completed her studies
at Cal Poly State University receiving degrees in both Biochemistry and Animal Science. In
2001 Jennifer was accepted to the new veterinary school at Oregon State University and her
extensive journey through veterinary training began. She graduated in 2005 but stayed at
OSU to join the new teaching hospital as an intern. Following her internship she became
the first small animal surgical fellow at the veterinary school, and then was selected for a 3-year surgical residency. Jennifer completed her surgical residency in 2010. Still maintaining
strong ties with the veterinary school at OSU, she is excited to now be a part of the specialty
group at Four Seasons Animal Hospital.
Dr. Simpson is able to provide pet owners with a broad spectrum of small animal surgical
services. She enjoys both soft tissue surgery (thoracic surgery, abdominal surgery, cancer surgery) and orthopedic procedures (joint surgery, fracture repair, TPLO). Jennifer is particularly focused on the pre- and post-operative care and rehabilitation of her surgical patients and on working with pet owners to ensure rapid and maximal return to function for their pets after surgery. With the staff and other specialty support services available at Four Seasons Animal Hospital, Jennifer is able to provide comprehensive, 24-hour care for all her patients.
Jennifer, her husband, and her two children enjoy spending much of their free time in the
great outdoors - sailing, surfing, hiking, geocaching and mountain biking. They are excited to
be back in the Bay Area, working and playing in beautiful northern California. |
