|
Dr. Jessica Jennings is a Bay Area native, originally from Boulder Creek, in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She attended the University of California, Davis and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior. While an undergraduate student, she worked with the California State Diagnostic Laboratory on the West Nile Virus Surveillance Program. After graduation she attended Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, California. During veterinary school, she had the opportunity to train in many different veterinary settings, including San Diego, Arizona, Nebraska, Boston, Washington D.C, Mexico, New Zealand, and Peru.
After graduating from veterinary school in 2010, Dr. Jennings moved back to the Bay Area for a rotating small animal internship at Encina Veterinary Hospital / East Bay Veterinary Specialists and Emergency in Walnut Creek where she developed a passion for emergency medicine. Dr. Jennings decided to pursue board certification in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care and is excited about joining the staff at Four Seasons Animal Hospital.
In her spare time, Jessica shamelessly jumps on any opportunity to travel. She loves the outdoors, rock climbing, kayaking, cooking vegetarian/vegan food, and hopes to become fluent in Spanish and Russian. She also enjoys spending time with her White Capped Pionus, dogs, family, and friends.
