Caring for life...caring for a lifetime.

Dr. Pam Wittenberg
Dr. Pam Wittenberg has been an associate veterinarian at Four Seasons Animal Hospital since graduating from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She enjoys her role as a primary care practitioner because it affords her the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of her patients' care during all stages of their lives.

A native Californian, Dr. Wittenberg spent her early childhood living outside Chicago, but considers Contra Costa County her home. While growing up in Danville, her family home was filled with many pets, and she indulged her interest in animals and science with a job at a local animal hospital during high school. She studied anthropology and animal behavior as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, and then earned a Masters degree in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University. While in graduate school, coursework at the nearby North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine rekindled her desire to pursue a career as a veterinarian. In 1994, she returned to California to attend the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to her studies in small animal medicine during veterinary school, she was active in student government and was instrumental in the development of a feral cat spay/neuter externship program for veterinary students.

Both in and out of the office, Pam enjoys sharing her passion for science and veterinary medicine with local school children and children's groups. When she's not working or volunteering, she spends her free time with her family, exploring her backyard and gardening on the banks of Santa Rosa Creek.
